How 'Family Guy' goes from screen to stage

If they are just directly adapting television episodes for stage, then this is a bad choice. What's the point of putting on theatre if it doesn't add anything to the dialouge? Especially if the audience is mostly familiar with the episodes anyway. The visual gags are what confuse me most. Are they going to play clips from the show, or live action skits with the actors? Either way, I think I'd just rather watch re-runs.
Listen to the Family Guy Live from Las Vegas album. Pretty great stuff. I would imagine that is slightly more representative.
