Why Executive Leadership in Dance is So Difficult

Why is art valued so high in a historical context? But in contrast the value art adds to our current world is not valued the same as it was in the past. Generations have donated to arts organizations for years but as the times change and the people start to become more aware of global issues the audiences donate their money elsewhere. How does the executive leadership shift this mindset towards more donations for live entertainment? Film and music offer so much content that it starts to beg the question; Is live entertainment losing its space in the world? Or as the article starts to talk about is are we valuing these experiences equitably? Is how we value our time and how corporations are monetizing our attention affecting the information and access to these experiences? How does dance theatre and opera evolve with the everchanging times and this other thing technology.
