It’s super interesting to read about a band on tour but not in a typical way because they’re also touring lots of different churches and touring to a lot of atypical spaces that are hard to mix for. I really enjoy reading about different sound engineer journeys and how they got to where they are now. I feel like in the sound industry everyone has such an individualized way of mixing and everyone has their own tricks or quirks that make their sound unique. I found it super cool to learn about what tools and boards he uses to mix because that’s also super personalized and the same tools from different brands have completely different sounds and impacts on the audience and can affect tonal quality in a huge way. I also can’t get over the fact that they have to mix in churches. The way that churches are built are so different from each other because of different reasons such as their history, material, and especially the design; I imagine that mixing each church would have to be from a completely new angle everytime and it would be such a fascinating tour.
