Meow Wolf is such an interesting company that makes some very impressively designed attractions. When I was back home in Colorado, I once visited the Meow Wolf Denver attraction and it was such an interesting place. Looking at any installation from Meow Wolf from both a design and engineering perspective is so cool. They always have such interesting set pieces, and I want to visit them all. I'd be especially interested to see the new one though. Most of their installments have a focus on visual elements, but I'm interested to see how they'll use sound to play with the minds of their visitors at the new one. I also like how instead of having one person design for them, they hired over 100 people to design. I think having several people's influences will help them achieve the kind of drug trip vibe I think they aim to create. If I am ever in Texas, I will be sure to try and make it to the Radio Tave.

I remember this Houston location being announced from writing an article about it last year, and it’s exciting to hear that an opening date and theme have been announced! The theme being based around radio is really interesting and I’m really curious to see how it is implemented in practice. The stills from this article of the installations are gorgeous, and I’m sure they’re even more dynamic in person. I really love how local to the place they’re installing it they’ve made the installations, having that vein of community engagement running throughout the venue is wonderful. While I’ve never been able to make it to a Meow Wolf venue yet (although it’s on the bucket list), I have been to other immersive installations and the best ones have been those that are connected to the world around them in some way, deepening the immersion and creating a tactile connection to how we experience the world.
