This article helped me discover what The Alliance Theatre is and its “National Vision, Inc. BIPOC Stage Management Fellow” is! I am a big advocate for BIPOC in the theatre industry since we are so underrepresented. It’s amazing how many programs there are to help BIPOC out in getting fellowships and creating a community. And, as BIPOC Stage Manager, knowing about these types of programs gives me hope for my future in this industry. Having a fellowship that connects you with mentors and people working on Broadway is so important too, and many BIPOC have a hard time finding those types of resources because it’s hard with limited resources. I’m sure Kacie Pimentel will have great success in this wonderful program. She seems to already have incredible credits to her name, and a degree from a good school, plus now she gets to learn and work with an incredible program! -Hailey Garza
