ETC postpones in-person trade show attendance until July 2021 and offers live online demos

LightSoundJournal.com: Out of concern for the safety of its employees and global community, ETC has announced that it will not participate in traditional trade show exhibitions until July of 2021. With the pandemic affecting many people’s ability and desire to travel, the company has instead decided to focus its resources on remote demos and online events.

The past couple of months, since the onset of the pandemic, have really put perspective to the importance of widespread healthcare and sanitation practices, given how that is the only way the pandemic can be dealt with, although we have definitely seen a spike in the number of cases for a while now. With this truth, it makes absolute sense for people to be concerned about their health and them choosing their health over official commitments if given a choice. With the same logic it makes sense that companies have also loosened up to the idea of being in- person given that it is of paramount interest to ensure the highest level of safety for everyone involved. I am glad that ETC is on board with this and are redirecting their energy to make an exciting virtual experience for people. Hopefully, their efforts prove worthwhile and the event is a real success.

I am not surprised that ETC postponed their event until 2021, but I am surprised that it has been postponed until July of 2021. I completely understand and support their decisions, but the optimist in me really hopes that the pandemic is not as bad or even eradicated by that late in 2021. I once went to an ETC booth at a tradeshow. It was a really cool experience for my nerdy self, so I hope that people can have that experience in person again once it is safe to do so. It is nice to see that ETC is moving towards virtual offerings, especially as such a technical company. While it is not the same, it is the best we can get right now, and I look forward to seeing what they create for their consumers. I will definitely have to at least check out one of their study hall seminars and maybe even their product demos.
