Lori Lightfoot and the arts in Chicago: She has 3 main challenges but has made her mark from Day 1
Chicago Tribune: Few wise heads would choose a candidate for the Mayor of the City of Chicago entirely on the basis of their arts policy — without job growth, high-quality public education, safe streets, strong mental-health programs and city services, greater racial equity, financial stability surrounding pensions and the restoration of trust between the police and the community those officers serve, it is hard to imagine our great city thriving. And even that list omits a great swath of Lori Lightfoot’s very challenging new job as mayor.
