Datebook: Actor and director Radhika Rao has an unsentimental explanation for how she started teaching theater.
“I argue that a lot of us get into it that way: You’re poor, and you don’t know how to make money.”
That was in 2000, when the New Delhi native stumbled into teaching theater to the “lazy kids” in an Indian Outward Bound program who didn’t want to go rock climbing or hiking.
