There goes another one. It’s saddening to see so many high powered people are not the untainted public figures to look up to, as we were taught when we were young. Les Moonves is another example. But this article in particular caused me to consider another interesting factor that plays into the article is that the author published a book through a CBS company, and throughout the article it's clear she doesn't want CBS to be tainted because of this. She talks about the other employees of CBS keeping the company rolling toward a better future and quotes an executive that makes it clear this man’s actions should define CBS. I think they should. If we only blame the actual offenders we are never going to be able to stop picking them out of the industry one by one, with another sad and infuriating story each time. Major television companies need to re-evaluate all of their practices to see what is causing this industry to be used as a breeding ground for sexual predators. It’s not even remotely true that all men are “just like that” so why is there so many in the industry. Creating a system for television companies to evaluate their practices could be the first step in the right direction.
