I wish the interview covered more about her career and the projects she worked on rather than ask about her favorite movie theater snack or three of her favorite movies. It would have been much more interesting to read about working for any one of Harry Potter films, Happy Feet, The Chronicles of Narnia or Maleficent. But seeing that this interview was conducted by Cinefex blog, I might be the wrong audience here. Still, there were many glimpses of interesting aspects from the animation industry, such as that it has grown massively in the past 15 years, that it is still dominantly male-led industry and that the production teams form and dissolve per projects. But the biggest lesson from this interview could be that preparing the right kind of questions may be more important than casting someone and expecting them to spill out interesting stories with no proper lead. As in so many questions, I would have like to read more about the beatboxing camel toe.
