InPark Magazine: StarVR Corporation announces a major deployment of its location-based VR entertainment solution at Emaar Entertainment’s VR Park at The Dubai Mall, one of the world’s largest indoor VR theme parks. Working in tandem with Starbreeze Studios, the park’s leading content partner, StarVR is providing end-to-end VR location-based solutions with highly-customized hardware, onsite installation, operator training and after service for the majority of Starbreeze’s attractions.

While I personally feel as though VR is a little elitist because of how expensive it is, this virtual reality experience in Dubai seems interesting. Also, I had literally never heard of a virtual reality theme park until I read this article. What a cool idea! However, I do think that the most successful theme park will mix both virtual reality and real reality into a singular theme park. The fact that the Mall in Dubai where this takes place is bigger than 200 soccer fields is crazy. They also continuously brag in this article about the 5K ultra high resolution and the 210-degree field of view that only these displays can deliver. They also tell you about the various content that can be experienced on these devices. I wonder how long you are allowed to use on device for, considering the fact that they probably don’t have enough for everyone.
