Protests Thwart Israeli Troupe at Edinburgh Festival
NYTimes.com: A run of “The City,” a hip-hop musical being presented at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe by the Incubator Theater, a company based in Jerusalem, has been halted after one performance after protests on Wednesday. A demonstration organized by the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign, reacting to the violence in Gaza, forced organizers at Underbelly, the presenting site, to call off the rest of the run there, saying the demonstration was disturbing other productions at nearby performance spaces.
