I think its great that China is making a huge initiative to expand its theatre community and strive for a more rich theatre community. This one million square foot facility will immensely impact the theatre experience Langfang, but only so much can be done to expand theatre in China. The cost in not affordable to most being $150 a ticket or more and transportation is never easy. I love that their opening show is an adaptation to an American work instead of a more traditional piece. It will be interesting to see how this enormous theatre complex impacts the surrounding area. I also want to know what this huge building is going to be replacing?
