Watch Janelle Monae and M.I.A.'s Hologram Stage Duet
Rolling Stone: M.I.A. and Janelle Monae performed two live duets last night – even though they were playing on opposite coasts. Aided by futuristic (and, let's face it, terrifying) technology, hologram images of Monae (in Los Angeles) and M.I.A. (in New York) were beamed onto each other's respective stages for a show-closing collab, set up by the folks at Audi as part their new A3 launch.

This is really cool, the fact you can have two artists performing together at the same tim across the country. This could change how shows are done and how people tour and sell tickets. You could potentially sell a show as a duet in two cities at once. Bands could have songs with a featured guest just hologram in for the song instead of taking the whole tour to sing one song a performance. Their is so much that can be done with this. Technology is making some incredible leaps forward and I am very excited to see where it lands.
