'Midnight Rider' to Resume Production in Los Angeles, IATSE Says
Hollywood Reporter: Filming on the Gregg Allman biopic was suspended in February when camera assistant Sarah Jones was killed while shooting on a train track. Now, however, a producer from Unclaimed Freight Productions has informed the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees of plans to resume the project, with preproduction beginning in a couple of weeks.

It seems to me that the only way that the producers of "Midnight Rider" can go forward with their production is by being very open about the tragedy, and by showing unions and audiences that they are working toward a more safe film shoot environment. This article makes it seem like all these safety measures are called for by the union. The correct thing to do would be for the producers to release a statement showing their eagerness to keep their employees safe. Otherwise, the "us vs them" mentality will never go away.
