Canonizations among events coming to theater near you

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Move over, movies.
Some of the best entertainment at your local cinema wasn't shot in Hollywood, nor would it be eligible for Academy Awards.
Thanks to the growing concept of "event cinema," everyone from Benedict Cumberbatch to Pope Francis can be a star on the big screen.

I don't think I want to see a backstage camera. Half of the goal in theatre is to not see the stuff going on backstage and wow the audience when someone comes in 3 seconds later with a new outfit. Backstage, actors are not likely to stay in character, so if you see them there waiting to go on, doesn't that ruin the magic? I mean, I guess it is different for non-theatre people to finally experience(well, see since they aren't experiencing it) the world of backstage theatre, but it would completely ruin the show. Maybe if I had already seen that production of the show before I would be interested in seeing how they did certain things that were magical to me but certainly not on the first go.
The movie theater near my home plays the Met Operas live. I've been meaning to go see them sometime, but if they show me backstage, I want nothing to do with it. It also seems like they get obnoxiously close to the actors, so you can't see the chorus or the set very well. Sure it is cheap, but you give up a lot of the aspects of theatre for that.
