Job Interview Questions You Should NOT Answer (Or Ask)

LinkedIn: There are a number of questions that are clearly off-limits in a job interview. It always astonishes me when I learn that people have been asked inappropriate or even illegal questions and I thought it might be useful to re-iterate some of the questions you shouldn’t answer in your job interview.

I was really interested in this article because the subject matter is not something I often think about. I really like that the author did not just list inappropriate questions but also gave several options for how to deal with them. I know I don't mind usually answering more personal questions, but I am concerned that there is no way to decline to answer a question without losing that job prospect. However in that situation, I think the author makes a good point in saying you should think about whether or not an environment where those sort of thing are important is right for you.

I did not know that certain questions should not be answered in the interview room. Interviewing for something is hard enough because you are at the mercy of the job, along with your own morals ofcourse. But when you are asked something out of the blue and really want the job you are up in the air for it is hard to say that you dont want to answer that one, thinking that you might not get the job because of it. It ultimately comes down to a moral judgement. You do not know them and right now here is all they really need to know.
