I had to learn the 2-6 method in 6th grade for a history class and I thought it was a great way to take notes. However, as you start to deal in more complex information, it become increasingly difficult to demonstrate all of the connections between different topics using this method. I have found that this is especially true in drama related classes. I have not found a perfect way to take notes yet, but a combination of chart making and outlining has been effective enough for now.
