Jurassic Park T-Rex - Skinning an Animatronic Dinosaur Behind-the-Scenes at Stan Winston Studio

I really miss stuff like this. The work that Industrial Light and Magic and Stan Winston's Studio used to do was amazing, model making and robots and Animatronics, and simply is not done anymore. The video shows all the work that went into essentially recreating a dinosaur for Jurassic Park but if a movie calls for a dinosaur now the movie is just shot without it and then the dinosaur is CGI'd into the film in post. Sure the dinosaurs can look a lot more realistic if the artist is talented but all the cool physical work that used to be done is no longer required. It seems to be the end of an era, how sad.
