lifehacker.com: When your to-do list becomes a monster, and an item next to a checkbox will actually take a long time and multiple people to complete, you need more than a checklist to keep track of it. What you really have is a project, and you need a tool designed to manage them. This week, we're going to look at five of the best personal project management tools, based on your nominations.

According to the poll at the bottom of the article, Evernote is the favorite method, so I checked it out. It seems like a really useful program and I actually think I'm going to try it out. It's well laid out and looks easy to navigate. I don't currently have a perfect way of organizing my homework, crew calls, club meetings, activities, etc, so one of these programs may prove to be useful!

I have OneNote on my computer, and I've used it for projects a few times before. My favorite thing about it is that it essentially functions like a notebook, you can write anything anywhere on the page and organize into books then sections then pages... It is great for me because I'm a paper person, and this program is the closest I've found to working on a paper notebook. It's very versatile, and super convenient for planning a lot of different types of projects.

I have never really known how I have felt about these types of software. I absolutely love the idea of a computer system that allows for streamlined project management systems. But I still hold firm to the "You need to make a system that fits to your needs" method. These products often don't include all the elements you need as a project manager. Why not create a system using paperwork and communication that is exactly what you need it to be?
