I am always so touched by the amount of energy and effort that goes into the Broadway Flea Market/Auction. The fact that all of these people come together once a year to raise money for AIDS and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids is amazing in it of itself. What is even more amazing though, is the fact that they raised roughly $600,000 this year. What also stands out to me is the fact that the walk on role in 'Kinky Boots' was the highest grossing item auctioned off at the event. Even though this doesn't surprise me, I think it's funny that someone would pay over $8,000 to walk on the stage during a production. Often, I find it hard to pay more than $100 for a Broadway ticket, but $8,000 is a little bit excessive. However, the money is going to an amazing foundation!
