Ballet Theatre's 2012-13 season to include 'Giselle,' 'Moulin Rouge'

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: The five productions of Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre's 2012-13 season will include a new full-length ballet, other additions to the company's repertoire and the revival of two popular classics, in addition to the perennial "The Nutcracker." The ballet will return to the August Wilson Center, at which it makes its debut this weekend, for one set of performances next season. The other four productions will be at the Benedum Center, two featuring live orchestra.

I'm obscenely excited for next years season! PBT is producing two of my favorite ballets, Giselle and Cinderella, and I am eternally enchanted by any form of the Moulin Rouge tale that has ever existed. I think the season combines a really pleasing balance of traditional, updated and modern ballet, and they all seem to fit together like a puzzle, though I'd have to reflect longer on exactly why I think so.
