Stage Directions: In April, the Department of Theatre at Oklahoma State University opened their production of the psychedelic musical Hair. At the request of Assistant Professor Don Childs (who provided scenic design for the show), Brian Gale (who recently designed the lighting for the new Los Angeles Opera production of Wagner’s Ring Cycle) came on as lighting designer. Gale knew the show well so he and Childs got to work, holding production meetings via Skype.
