I'm really surprised to see some of the big hitters in the Chicago scene not winning anything this year - usually there's at least a nod to Steppenwolf each year, as well as a musical award going to Drury Lane or to Marriott Theatre (my stomping grounds). Is the relatively small number of winning productions and companies a reflection of a week Chicago theatre scene this year, or just a number of really stand-out productions that swept the show?
