Although it was a good movie as a whole, I don't think that Iron Man 2 is worthy of a nomination for Outstanding Visual Effects. Frankly, nothing in the film seemed that spectacular. Though the effects were executed nicely, they were all things seen before in other movies, nothing new. I'm not sure what movie would be qualifying of this nomination in place of Iron Man 2, but then again that's probably why it received the honor in the first place. I'm hopeful that someone else can remember a movie that would deserve this more than Iron Man 2, I'm more than certain that there's one out there.
