It is amazing how Wicked stays so popular even though it seems to be a perfect show for families. When people come to NY and want to see one show on Broadway I imagine they often choose to see Wicked. It may look like Broadway is doing well with this news but many other shows are losing audiences. Someone should figure out how to draw audiences to other Broadway and off-Broadway shows.

Looking back on the days when I would compete with friends of mine to see who had seen Wicked the most, it makes me happy to hear that's it's still generating amazing growth as a show. However, I do agree with what Jackson said about focusing on other show, however if it weren't for Wicked, many people who now are interested in theatre wouldn't have that interest today. I see Wicked's beginnings and mass popularity as a successful event, opening the eyes of non-theatre goers to the possibilities that the stage holds and I'm glad that it's continuing to spread that.
