Stage review: Playhouse Rep reveals deep truth of 'Buried Child'

This sounds like quite an interesting piece, though I've never happened upon it before. I think that this could be a really goods tep away from the happy go lucky Americana plays that seem to be in vogue now, and are a darker look (at a very appropriate time in our history, as it were) at what life really is so for many people. Growing up with a parent from the midwest, I was always taught to think positively and never reveal any darkness in yourself or the family because it simply wasn't done. To have a playwright turn Middle America into something to fear is rightfully shocking, and I would really like to see this script in action.
