I had never heard about this show before this article. Something that caught my eye was the fact that right after the question "Why cancer?" was the word hilarious. The two dont really go together in my mind. However, it did make me more interested in a plot that I was about to roll my eyes at. So I hope it does well and surprises audiences.
I think its great that they have a class which lets them go through the workshop process and experience a new musical in the works. I also think its a great way for the composer and lyricist are on campus the whole semester. this really creates a true workshopping experience with changes being made all the time and allows the juniors to bring their own into the piece.
I really enjoyed watching the workshop of Bubble Boy last year. And i think it was a great opportunity for our seniors. I'm glad the PSU kids get it every year :-)
