it seems like cirque is all was coming out with new shows. they never seem to stop developing ideas. i am happy that they are coming out with another show i hop that they this show is as amazing all other of there shows.
From what I read, this show looks amazing, but I really wish they had chosen a different name. Is Cirque really that rushed in producing shows that they couldn't have stopped for 5 minutes to realize that this should have been cut out at the drawing board? I mean, "Banana Shpeel" just doesn't fit with the general Cirque attitude. Their other shows have mysterious names like "Ka" or "O" or "Love." Does this name really fit?? This just seems absurd to me. When I first heard about this, I didn't believe the person who told me.
Cirque's shows seem to have taken on a very different tone from their original productions. I'm writing this after reading the article about the Criss Angel Cirque show. I suppose they've drawn inspiration from tons of different artforms; why not draw inspiration from Western commercial circus? I'm really intrigued, honestly. I want to see what they do with this. Just to me it feels a much better match than Criss Angel.
