SURG Proposal Deadline - October 15, 2008

Small Undergraduate Research Grants (SURG) are open to ALL undergraduates in any discipline, freshman-seniors. Grants are available of up to $500 for single entries and up to $1,000 for group entries to cover such things as the costs of supplies and materials, time on laboratory equipment, or travel to another city for archives.
The deadline for Spring 2009 SURG proposals is Wednesday, October 15th at 5:00 PM. Apply online at www.cmu.edu/uro/. We strongly recommend that you review a draft of your proposal with the URO Director, Stephanie Wallach, well prior to the deadline.

*NOTE: There is a separate proposal outline specifically designed for Arts and creative Humanities projects. We want to encourage more students in these areas to apply for SURG. Information is available on our website: www.cmu.edu/uro/.
