When I first heard of this competition about a year ago I was surprised to find that Elation was the lighting company backing it. Not necessarily that I could think of another company doing it but I felt it strange that a company responsible mostly for mid+ range moving lights would be heading up a conference on lighting in houses of worship. I think what struck me as so odd was that, given what I have heard about the ridiculous amounts of money spent on mega-churches and such that Elation would be spec'd as a company of choice. I would see much more use of tungsten conventional lights or at least color corrected movers.
