Seek Student Volunteers For 2008 Conference
Sightlines: "One hundred student members are needed to participate in the 2009 Student Volunteer Program. In exchange for 15 hours of work at the 2009 Conference & Stage Expo in Cincinnati, Ohio, USITT will waive the Conference registration fee. Assignments vary from conference office support, A/V and computer assistance, Stage Expo special exhibition set-up and tear down, and other opportunities that will help make the 49th Annual Conference & Stage Expo a success."

Thanks for posting this, it may well be a way for some of us to get to go. Granted, travel and lodging expenses are still high, but maybe some folks can afford it after the fee is gone. I'll certainly be looking into this in years to come.
