Musical brings 'Magic Tree House' books to life
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "A new Broadway-style musical takes the utterly impossible and mysterious -- time travel -- and transforms it into a delightful, picturesque and real-seeming fantasy onstage, the creators say."

This is so exciting! I loved these books when I was little, I'm really glad that we are starting to incorporate more children-friendly repetoire into the modern day theater. I think that this story proposes challenges mostly in the technical department, upon how to believably represent time travel. Also, the story is filled with young characters, it will be interesting to see the casting choices made.
It is always nice to see a children's show performed as a musical, because it is never too early to incorporate theatre into a child's life. I like that the idea of using puppetry in an actual children's show, and I'm interested to see how young audiences respond to seeing these books translated to the stage.
I am so excited to see this become a musical. I remember reading these books when I was younger and they definately create a very real setting to explore. The time travel associated with the books should be interesting to see portrayed on stage. But overall this is a very exciting piece to turn to the stage and not just because it is not disney!
