it's always preached that theatre is a living breathing art, and it's wonderful to see the school of drama uphold this. Not only do we have amazing teachers, but we have working and growing professionals training us. They can being with them their past and current knowledge from their field. Yes engineering teachers probably used to be engineers, and architecture teachers might have been architects, but have they built or designed something now? Their teaching in theory, while the drama school teach us current reality.

I think its great that she will be doing more multi-media and experimental work. It will expose many of us to an area that we have heard a lot about, but have only studied it in theory. Having her introduce students to projects she is working on in the city really encompasses that 'learning as you go' which I think will allow students to learn and retain more. Hopefully she can find a balance between the different locations.
