Western Civ - We ride the culture bus with Pitt Arts and its students.

Pittsburgh City Paper - Pittsburgh: "Two school buses are parked outside Frick International Studies Academy, in Oakland, but it's not time for a middle-school field trip. Instead, each bus is nearly filled with University of Pittsburgh students (including this reporter) dressed in their Saturday-night best for a ride Downtown to the Byham Theater, where they'll see the sold-out Urban Bush Women/Compagnie Jant-Bi dance performance."

This is awesome! I wish we had well-organized evenings out to the theatre! I think part of the problem with exposing the kids to culture is convenience. I've found that as a student I find less and less opportunity to get out and see stuff because of transportation or money that goes along with it. This is a wonderful no-excuses kind of way to expose yougn people to more art.
