Stage Preview: Harlem theater performs here
Post Gazette: "As you'd expect, the Classical Theatre of Harlem does the Greek and Elizabethan classics. But, based in Harlem, where it grew out of artistic director Alfred Preisser's work at the Harlem School of the Arts, it has a largely African-American audience and also tackles the great black playwrights -- Douglas Turner Ward, Adrienne Kennedy, August Wilson -- and what Preisser calls, 'great plays, not just great black plays.'"
