This is a really frustrating reality for the film industry. Leaving out a good percentage of half the population means limiting what art and entertainment can do. "Diverse" employment means that you're getting more and different points of view, different ways of thinking and problem solving, and different understandings of a project. It's a terrible thing for the voice of women not to be recognized.
Even worse I think is the stereotypical split in the genres of film women and men are working on. It's predictable and at the same time unbelievable. I hope that in the future women will be better represented in the industry in a variety of jobs and projects.
