Not just a stage

smh.com.au: "Theatre matters to the extent that all art matters, and history proves that is an absolute of human existence. But this art form in particular, when it connects, is unparalleled. I rarely feel like leaping to my feet and cheering a film or a CD, a painting or a poem, no matter how much I love them. In the live experience, when that primal switch is flicked and we satisfy the social need to gather with members of our tribe, around a metaphorical campfire, to sing songs and tell stories to each other - when that ignites, it can be transcendent."

This article seems the reviews of Australian theatre people. They state the meaning of theatre for them and their expectation on the development in Australia. For the people who are fascinated with this art form, no matter where they are, they all have the mission to create better accomplishment no matter how the environment is changing. Australia is kind of sitting in a quite corner of the world; however, they are working hard to make connection with other parts of the world all the time, no matter for art or for economics etc.
