Stage Review: 'Macbeth' fails to capitalize on setting

Post Gazette: "Sometimes it's less important that something be done well as that it be done at all. That's my take on Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Parks' 'The Tragedy of Macbeth,' which I caught up with on the third of four weekends, this at Kennard Park in the Hill."

i have definitely seen similar situations where groups do a performance in an unusual and unique space, but treat it just like a normal blank stage. it is so disappointing because if they do interact and incorporate the environment it can be so much more interesting, but if they don't than the environment just becomes a distracting backdrop of the whole play.
