At first the idea of this just seemed terrible. But it may be in better taste than I first thought. I found interest in this article because we just watched a film The Laramie Project in our Interp and Argument class, so this issue is relevant to me. We mentioned in class the different approaches this performance versus the film have to the issue. I find it very strange the whole idea of this - and I don't quite see how Christ relates to a hate crime and man with AIDS, but I suppose I would have to see the play. I most likely will not see it, but I will definitely look out for the reviews to see how it was.

Like sarah I watched The Laramie Project in our interp class so I have had the Matthew Shepard issue on the brain for the past two weeks or so. I personally didn't think the movie was too terribly effective but maybe the musical version would be more effective and maybe an audience could relate better through song however, at the same time I don't think it will be very effective though. I also think that it will be interesting to see how she relates all three of the story lines to each other.
