Retraction
This American Life: We've discovered that one of our most popular episodes contained numerous fabrications. This week, we detail the errors in Mike Daisey's story about visiting Foxconn, which makes iPads and other products for Apple in China. Marketplace's China correspondent Rob Schmitz discovered the fabrications.

Well I guess this is good... I mean it is nice to hear that maybe the conditions in factories are better then we thought? I listened to the first This American Life where Mike Daisey was interviewed. Now listening to this interview, it is quite shocking and annoying that the information that was portrayed is untrue.
I think that this has a direct link with the Kony video that has been circulating the web. There are many people who are from the West who go to foreign country's and portray their problems in a much worst light then the situation actually is. And it's not that this is bad, necessarily, there are problems in these countries just like everywhere and people need to be alerted of these problems but when information is being passed off as fact and it is just bold lies to make a better story that is when you are hurting the people you were trying to help.
