I read about this worrying turn of events a few days ago when it first happened. I can't but also can believe that this is happening. I think politicians should stay out of the arts, and let people express themselves how they would like. Art and performance should be able to freely comment on the political, social, economic, etc situation of a nation, not be restricted and censored by the higher-ups. When you get to that point, you know its bad. Freedom of expression is extremely important. It's also stupid how Trump claimed he was "unanimously" voted into this position, when that's probably total crap or the people were bought out or threatened into voting for him. Besides, I feel there is an argument to be made that Trump would be so busy being president that he would not be able to fully attend to the duties of being chairman. He simply wouldn't have time because is too busy trying (and failing) to lead an entire nation. You would think that argument would be case enough for him to get instantly rejected from this position. What is going on there?
