Disney Is the Latest Company to Shake up DEI Initiatives: Memo
Business Insider: Disney has become the latest company to make changes to its diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, as President Donald Trump's election has triggered a cultural shift across corporate America.
I think these companies saying that they are getting rid of their DEI to "comply with President Trump's order" is so idiotic. They are under no obligation whatsoever to comply with that order to eliminate all DEI programs. That executive order only applies to government agencies and programs/companies directly funded by the government. Private companies like Disney are not at all affected by that executive order, and saying they are is just idiotic. They are removing DEI because they WANT to, no other reason. They are just hoping the public will be too stupid to realize the DEI EO doesn't apply to them. Anyways, everything that is going on with censorship right now in terms of DEI and transgender people is worrying. Government websites, even the government page on the Stonewall monument, has changed LGBTQ to LGB. It is claiming that Stonewall was a movement and place only for LGB history, whereas ACTUALLY, if these idiots cracked open a history book once or twice and read something, they would've realized how instrumental and present transgender people were in organizing Stonewall and advocating for queer people back when your entire life could be ruined by being outed.
