Sam Hamilton and the art of moving the global time line
Oregon ArtsWatch: Art, at its best, is an adventure, an exploration, a journey of talent, skill and commitment that, having experienced it, the audience finds themselves in a different place than they were before, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually and perhaps even politically.

I am always interested in art pieces that tie in with today's politics because they are always interested in change rather than just making a point. I really enjoyed reading about both the history behind this project and how it plans to communicate its message along with the next steps to actually create change. Obviously the prime meridian has yet to change and I could not figure out what year the conference referenced in the article is so change is still possible. I find that an article like this also offers a glimpse of hope and change in a positive light when our current world is in such a state of turmoil. These political art installations can easily give the world the push it needs to change in a way that a political speech could never achieve. Due to the close and personal connection that art created between an exhibit a viewer change truly feels possible.
