Playbill.com: Jennifer Malenke, who appeared in the 2002 Broadway revival of Into the Woods, has created "Broadway Babysitters," a childcare service that pairs performers who are "between shows" with families in need of sitters.
"Broadway Babysitters" will have a referral-only community of sitters and families who love theatre.

What a great idea for those kids in need of care. It's always been a constant struggle on wanting to work for the entertainment industry and not having time to watch over their children during work hours. Many people refuse to join the entertainment industry for that very reason or others decided to sacrifice having a kid for their dream career. Well I say "nay" to that and I feel that people should be able to have the career they want and children if they are mentally prepared. They services will definitely help those parents that are committed to a child but need to make money to survive. This seems like a beneficial stress relief instead of worrying about an expensive nanny or some family member who doesn't want to take care of the child anyways. It also provides good work opportunities for those who love taking care of kids. I don't see any negative sides to this service and I support this cause 100%.
