Soap Opera Actress Sues Over Not Being Considered for Reemployment

1. Being an avid watcher of soap operas when I was younger I am shocked to learn of the behind the scenes racial drama. What I am upset about is the fact that she is speaking up now. It seems to me she is only bringing this into light because she wants her old job back. What is worse is that based on the article it feels at though the actress is hoping that if she can get the fan community on her side, it will show she has leverage of guaranteed watchers. Currently getting enough people to watch soap opera’s isn’t the same like it used to be. May soap opera’s have been force to end because investors noticed they were no longer turning a profit. Many soap opera’s have tried many different way to keep going even after a cancellation. Two years after the All my children was cancelled they tried to reboot the show and get views and fan to watch online. Due to the lack of time from the cancellation to the reboot, the show only last 6 months before it was inevitably cancelled forever. So this whole law suit could very well be a huge publicity stunt in an effort to drum up drama especially in light of the racial charged Ferguson case.
