The White House Hosts Its First-Ever Student Film Festival

The White House: Back in November, we asked K-12 students across the country to create short films on the role that technology plays in their classrooms. We asked them to tell us why technology is so important, and how it will change the educational experience for kids in the future.
And they responded with nearly 3,000 films.

This is a great idea. Each and every day arts funding and public opinion of them is dropping, so to have a student film festival sponsored by the White House is a huge deal. More importantly, it's great to see younger kids creating film. The theme of the film (technology in the classroom) is also a great one considering that we're living in a multidimensional world and we now learn in a multitude of ways. I'm very impressed by what these kids put out.
