Audience likely to get money's worth from 'Beauty and the Beast'
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: Many theater insiders cast producers as the evil step-parents of the industry. So NETworks Presentations' announcement that it had reassembled most of the original "Disney's Beauty and the Beast" design team to create a brand new, re-imagined, non-Equity touring production generated skepticism. Re-imagined often is a polite way of saying lower budget and lesser quality, and a large part of the show's popularity came from its lavish and detailed production numbers, sets and costumes. Savvy producers, however, know where to get the biggest bang for their buck.
