'Quilters' pieces together a look at frontier life

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "Stitched together like the patches of a quilt, the 16 vignettes in the musical play 'Quilters' combine to tell the stories of women's lives on the American frontier. Their stories will come to life when the play is performed this weekend by the Actors and Artists of Fayette County in the Geyer Performing Arts Center, Scottdale.

I saw a production of Quilters several weeks ago at my friends school in Kent Ohio. It was an interesting production, the subject matter of the show and style weren't quite my cup of tea but I can see the appeal to some audiences. It will be interesting to see how this show does and how it is received. As I mentioned I think there is a clear cut division of groups and how they would enjoy the show, something that isn't always true with all shows. It would be neat to see the demographics of how people respond to this show.
