Seattle Theaters Showcase Union Support

AFL-CIO NOW BLOG: "With workers under attack across the nation, all the major theaters in the Seattle area affirmed their support for workers everywhere to organize and bargain collectively. In a statement, 24 theatrical, sound and stagecraft employers, who all have contracts with the Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 15, said: We are proud to be a union employer. We are committed to bargain fairly and in good faith with our employees, and to maintaining our history of respect for, and cooperation with, the labor community.

Good to see such a strong theater community display solidarity not only with labor but also with the greater implications, how is our democracy impeding on our rights? Wisconsin wasn't just about the collectively bargaining rights of the local unions it was about the voice of the people of Wisconsin. So when a theater union says they support labor, they are not only declaring their own rights to organize, bargain, and work they are supporting the voice of the people.
Very fitting with May Day right around the corner.
